A walk in the Lake District starting from Seathwaite in the Borrowdale Valley. The walk takes in 3 Wainwright Fells, Great End (910m) Esk Pike (885m) and Seathwaite Fell (601m) The walk starts by following the River Derwent up the valley to Stockley Bridge. From Stockley Bridge, the route continues heading up the valley following Grains Gill. The impressive North Face of Great End comes in to view as we head up the valley. From the top of the valley the route then heads left to Esk Hause where the path heads right to Calf Cove. The route leaves the main Scafell Pike path at Calf cove to make the final ascent to Great End. From Great End to the route heads back to Esk Hause and turns right up to Esk Pike. From Esk Pike the route heads back down to Esk Hause and heads straight on to Sprinkling Tarn. The path then heads right at the far side of Sprinkling Tarn over Seathwaite Fell to the Wainwright Summit at the end of the Fell. We then make the very steep descent off Seathwaite fell joining on to the Styhead path which leads back to Stockley Bridge. We then follow the track back to Seathwaite. Distance is around 9 miles
