I have done it, I'm on board and I'm ready to set sail for the final trip across the Atlantic to my paradise I call home. Tenerife has got to be one of the most versatile places to live and ride. The all-year-round climate allows you to ride through the most spectacular landscapes in Europe. Tenerife is the biker's paradise, and I just happen to live and work there..it really is Live to Ride, Ride To live on the island of Tenerife Canary Islands. That's of course is all well and good, but I have to get there, and the final leg is done by boat. Now I decided on the Fred Olson, because the standard they have is very high, and the ferries I use in the canary islands are brilliant. But this may have a Fred Olson sticker on the boat, but its far from the standard I expected. Very clean, very very clean...but staff are terrible, they are rude and treat you like you are trapped in a detention center. Buffet meals are rationed and slopped on plates. Cold food with ques for microwaves if you want it warm. Nothing at all to do on the boat, and prison-like wardens ordering you into different lines and areas...I can't believe this is an actual modern-day ferry, I thought maybe it's just me, so I talked with some of the other detainees and they felt exactly the same.
