After only getting to spend a day with FSD v14.2.2, I received v14.2.2.1 late last night. I had my fingers crossed that the improvements I'd noticed in v14.2.2 would still be present in this new build. After about an hour of driving, I can now confirm that Tesla has resolved several issues from previous v14.x builds, and this is the best publicly-available FSD build I've had the pleasure of riding with so far. Come along for a run through my Twin Cities Test Loop and see how FSD v14.2.2.1 performs! 00:00 - Intro & Persistent Issue with FSD v14.x - Start From Park Not Working From My Garage 00:52 - Commentary About State Of Tesla Navigation & Online Routing 02:59 - Comments About Destination Parking Setting 03:16 - Comments About FSD v14.2.2 & v14.2.2.1 04:27 - Challenges Of Fixing Undesirable Behavior In FSD Builds 05:23 - Thank You & Happy Holidays To The Tesla AI Team! 05:38 - Confident Passing Of Turning Vehicles 05:53 - Smooth & Confident Passing Of Parking Vehicle 06:08 - Commentary About Current State Of FSD Performance 09:11 - Improvement - FSD No Longer Excessively Hesitates At Busy 4-way Stop In St Paul 11:24 - More Good Behavior At 4-way Stop 11:53 - Dropping A Pin For Desired Parking Location 12:42 - Improvement - Noticeably Better Confidence & Faster Reaction Time When Executing Tricky UPL 13:19 - Parking On The Street & First Drive Summary 13:46 - Start Of Second Part Of Drive 14:42 - Improvement - Noticeably Better Creep Behavior When Navigating Through Tricky Intersections w/ Poor Visibility 15:16 - FSD Nicely Waits For Bus Before Completing Protected Right Turn 15:47 - Commentary About Rolling Stops & NHTSA 16:12 - Highway Auto Lane Change #1 - Smooth Merge Onto I-35E North 17:13 - Improvement - More Human-like Speed Handling On Slow Section Of I-35E North w/ Standard Profile 18:21 - Highway Auto Lane Change #2 18:36 - Highway Auto Lane Change #3 - FSD Accelerates To Complete Lane Change 18:52 - More Commentary About Speed Profile In FSD v14.2.2.1 19:53 - Highway Auto Lane Change #4 20:19 - Highway Auto Lane Change #5 20:48 - FSD Aborts Auto Lane Change Due To Car Entering Adjacent Lane First 21:22 - Highway Auto Lane Change #6 21:45 - FSD Detects Vehicle w/ Turn Signal & Courteously Lets Them In 22:16 - Highway Auto Lane Change #7 - Transition From I-35E North to I-694W 22:45 - Highway Auto Lane Change #8 23:16 - Highway Auto Lane Change #9 23:37 - Highway Auto Lane Change #10 23:56 - Highway Auto Lane Change #11 25:07 - Navigation Change To Final Destination 26:06 - Highway Auto Lane Change #12 26:18 - Highway Auto Lane Change #13 - Transition From I-694W to I-94E 26:58 - Improvement - Proper Acceleration Which Ensures Much Better Merge Behavior 28:01 - Highway Auto Lane Change #14 - FSD Nicely Gets Out Of Way For Faster Traffic 28:51 - Highway Auto Lane Change #15 29:06 - Highway Auto Lane Change #16 29:35 - Highway Auto Lane Change #17 30:42 - Highway Auto Lane Change #18 31:00 - Highway Auto Lane Change #19 31:17 - Highway Auto Lane Change #20 - More Textbook Handling Of Highway Transition Off Of I-94E 32:11 - Improvement - Another Example Of Improved Creep Behavior & Confidence While Waiting To Complete Unprotected Right Turn 33:33 - Improvement - Commentary About Driveway Destination Parking Setting Availability For My Detached Garage 34:32 - Issue - Failed Parking Attempt At Home 35:18 - Closing Thoughts If you are interested in seeing how Tesla FSD performs in the Twin Cities, please like & follow/subscribe.
