WHY I LOVE FISHING

As 2024 draws to an end and we enter 2025, I take a fond look back at a truly magic year of fishing memories. It was the year I began to take my part-time hobby of running a YouTube channel - The Magic of Fishing, named after my book - a bit more seriously. And meant visiting more fishing venues than I'd been to in years, joining new clubs, enjoying time on the bank with friends old and new, revisiting some classic techniques and baits and, of course, catching loads of fish. You could say I caught 'all fish great and small', and they included several new PBs, but every fish is magic to me. The channel grew steadily, passing 20,000 subscribers after just 18 months of self-taught, DIY video making and, more importantly, attracted an amazing community of like minded anglers. It seems we all appreciate the magical elements of fishing, the beauty of nature and the many benefits our great sport offers us angling addicts, so this is a big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported the channel, shared the vids and left some lovely comments. It might also help explain WHY I LOVE FISHING so much. You viewers at home helped make all these fishing dreams come true, so sit back, relax and enjoy.
