Highlights - 2017 Federal Engineer of the Year Awards

Highlights from the 2017 Federal Engineer of the Year Award ceremony held February 17, 2017 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. NSPE was honored to welcome Major General Timothy S. Green, P.E., U.S. Air Force Director of Civil Engineers as the keynote speaker. The 2017 winner is Jennifer Bountry, P.E., with the U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation. The FEYA ceremony honors professional engineers in government who: • Contribute to the success of military operations here and abroad by improving equipment, weapons, and construction projects. • Help improve and repair infrastructure and develop systems to protect against natural disasters and bioterrorism. • Continue to look for ways to use the latest technology to do things more efficiently and safely. • Protect public health and the environment. • Work to educate fellow engineers, keeping them up-to-date on their knowledge.
