478 men, including elderly and minors, caught harassing and groping women at Bonalu Festival

As many as 478 instances of misbehaviour against women were detected by SHE teams of the Hyderabad police. Among those apprehended by the SHE teams, 386 are adults and 92 are minors. Women of all age groups, including those holding kids in their hands, were touched inappropriately during the Muharram and Bonalu festivals The offenders also included elderly males and minors. Out of those apprehended, 288 accused were warned and let off, while 4 were booked and one was convicted. 5 cases ended in convictions, 1 offender was sentenced to imprisonment along with a fine, and 4 others were sentenced with a fine. ..............................................................................................
