Single crochet join as you go on solid Squares

I just came up with this flat and invisible single crochet joining method for solid squares - I probably didn't invent it, but I haven't checked, to be honest! - and I am just IN LOVE WITH IT! Don't you just love the fact that you don't have to sew together each single square with one another all at the end? And that you can use a hook and a simple single crochet to join the pieces together? I certainly do! Plus this method is totally reversible and good-looking. Let me know what you think of it!
