The Iwhuruohna Tribe, commonly known as Ikwerre is a homogeneous ethnic group that inhabits a substantial part of the northern half of Rivers State, situated in the South-South geopolitical zone in Nigeria. The Ikwerre people speak the Ikwerre language otherwise known as “Ikwonu Iwhnuruohna”, which has several dialects across its many clans. Ikwerre land is stretched across four LGA’s namely, Port-Harcourt city, Obio/Akpor, Ikwerre, and Emohua of Rivers- state.
