Cretan Gunners and their Festivals, had a specific goal to achieve with the profit made from the events during 2019 as every year. The goal was to sponsor and create a robotics learning team from a childcare centre of our city, but it wasn't achieved before the historic live concert in the yard of our House in October 2019. Logos Timis, it is a Greek hip-hop band with an extraordinary impact on Greek youth and have created a phenomenal relationship with their emotional parts. Them and a few more bands like Novel729, Zoro&Buzz, Fer de lance, Lobo Amarillo, Bloody Hawk, Twinsanity which are the new hip hop wave in Greece, changed the game and focused on turning the values of their audience in a path of light and living your life. Unfortunately, very few (but historic like BHTA PEIS) hip hop bands have followed this path in the past due to the fact that gangsta rap was the main influence for most artists. Totally against heavy drugs, they make sobriety in mind and soul look as badass as hooliganism or criminality just because it is. As a consequence, everybody listening and singing their songs, feel free and confident to express emotions without being characterised as too sensitive, externalise their energy like a hooligan but with beautiful and meaningful lyrics. That slowly creates a fashion around that mentality so teenagers choose a microphone instead of a gun or a needle. This is very effective and promising movement for Cretan Gunners vision. It is completely aligned with our philosophy and dreams for the future society so we support it with all our heart. In a nutshell, the goal was completed and Cretan Gunners Junior Robotics was created and went to their first tournament in 23rd of February 2020. Apart from the profits made, the unforgettable moments during the concert, all children from the childcare centre had the opportunity to meet their favourite band and hangout with them in backstage which something very kind and honourable for them to do.
