Mandolin Mondays #151: This week on Mandolin Mondays British mandolinist Mike Giverin aka "Mando Mike" brings us this amazing original waltz played on his Czech made Kristufek A style mandolin. Mike has been touring the UK for 10 years with Americana/Bluegrass trio Jaywalkers and they have just released their 4th studio album Time to Save the World back on the 5th of November. The Record contains 10 originals, including the tune recorded in this video. You can also find Mike touring with the progressive folk/jazz band 4Square which he's been a member of for almost 5 years. Earlier this year Mike started a new online mandolin website called MandoMike which is a subscription free way to learn mandolin online. He publishes a free lesson every month and each one is split into 3 levels, (beginner/intermediate/advanced). It’s a simple waltz I wrote after reading one of the many worrying articles in the papers about the state of the world. On the album, it is tagged on to the end of a song called ‘This Time’ which you can see here    • Jaywalkers - This Time   . My mandolin is a Kristufek A style, model #269 made in 2002. It has a rather unusual solid 1-piece mahogany back and it’s been with me for almost 15 years."
