Life As A Flight Attendant | Paris Layover Vlog | Emirates Cabin Crew Vlog Better late than never! Bonjour! Bienvenue a Paris! I’m here with Marwa from Morocco, and together we have a whole day in Paris! This was our last layover as cabin crew in 2021. It was windy, cozy, rainy. I’m still kicking myself for not picking up a bright orange Autumn leave that I could press in the pages of a book. If I go back, I’ll save one. The city is beautiful - most probably a favourite of all the others I’ve had the privilege to travel to and just made me so much more aware again of how lucky I am to have this job as a flight attendant where I can travel the world for free. My goal for the day was to order a coffee with milk and a croissant in French and was in luck to be spending the day with a french speaker, thanks Marwa! (I also would be hopelessly lost if she wasn’t there to ask for directions) Although, being lost in Paris doesn’t sound awful. Our first stop was at Le Café Marly, where we had lunch and desert, and had a beautiful view of the Louvre! After that we made our way to find some coffee for me and tea for my Moroccan girl, Marwa, and thanks to all the cafés at every corner, we settled on La frégate Cafe. I ordered my coffee with uncertainty but positive I ordered coffee with milk and not snails, until the french waiter with his silly moustache above his mask slammed the coffee on the table so that some of it fell into the saucer. At least he tried to slam the croissant with a little less force. Maybe I said the word “croissant” to his satisfaction but completely butchered “café au lait” Maybe he thought I looked silly with my hat like I thought he looked silly with his mask worn under his chin. Maybe I should have ordered with an attitude? I hear in some countries they see you as suspicious when you smile at strangers. We drank coffee, ate croissants, jumped over puddles, practiced my French, talked about how lucky we are to have such a beautiful destination as a last flight, took photos, took in Paris… This beautiful, cloudy, wet, cobblestoned city. Sometimes I wish people would just leave so that I can have it all to myself. Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed this little layover vlog! - Marwa: @getglamwithmarwa Margot: @margotindubai music from @epidemicsound *** FAQ I am a South African living in Dubai while spending my days in different countries around the world as an international flight attendant for an award winning airline. Feel free to go check out my adventures on instagram @margotindubai Happy watching! Please Note: During this layover, the destination was a green layover, which means we could go out and explore. Unfortunately due to the rising covid cases, the destination now turned to amber, meaning we have to stay inside the hotel for our health and safety as well as our colleagues.
