DOJ announces at least 28 charged with offenses at Portland ICE building

Since mid-June, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says it has charged 28 people for federal offenses committed at the ICE building in South Portland. Some of these charges include assaulting federal officers, failure to comply, -and depredation of government property. On Tuesday night, federal agents arrested six protesters. On Thursday afternoon, we spoke with protesters at the ICE facility who condemned violence. Two of the people we talked to are veterans.
