ENGLISH FOLLOWS HEBREW הסרטון זכה בפרס ראשת העיר נתניה לשנת 2024. התפטיר הינו גוף הפטריה, יצור בפני עצמו שגדל בין היתר מתחת לאדמה ומסייע למערכת האקולוגית להתקיים *. אפילו מוזיאוני טבע לא מציגים לקהל הרחב את תפקידו האקוטי, להחזיק את המערכת האקולוגית היבשתית ומשמיטים או מקטינים את חשיבותו בהסברה עליו בקרב הציבור בארץ ובעולם. הפרויקט שיצרתי מתייחס לכוחה המרכזי של יד האדם, המסמלת את הההשפעה הנרחבת וההרסנית שלנו, בני האדם, על הטבע, השפעה המאיימת על המשך קיומו של כדוה"א במתכונתו הנוכחית. היד היא זו ששולטת ויוצרת את התפטיר, את קצב ודרך הגדילה שלו, כיוון ועובי ההסתעפויות שלו. האנושות השתלטה על הטבע והתפטיר בהיותו מהשורדים הותיקים ביותר, ממשיך לשרוד - קצת מזכיר את העם היהודי - בכל תנאי. אפילו הצבעוניות אפלה ומתעתעת, עם הבזקי צבע דיגיטליים, שמשנים צורה במהירות כמו הטכנולוגיה שהאנושות יצרה, שגם קצת משתלטת על העולם יחד או נגד בני האדם. גם הסאונד צורם וקשה להאזנה, משלים את האווירה העכורה. בווידאו זה קיימים מספר רובדי השתלטות וחומר למחשבה, וידאו שתפקידו להציב מראה, להוציא אותנו משלוותנו. לרוב התפטיר נסתר מהעין האנושית, לפעמים בני האדם נגעלים מפטריות עובש או חוששים מפטריות רעילות או פסיכדליות, אבל התפטיר הוא עצם הענין, לא הפטריה. הפטריה היא הפרי של היצור המדהים הזה. The mycelium is the body of the fungus, a creature in itself, that grows underground and helps the whole ecosystem to exist *. It's acute role to maintain the terrestrial ecosystem is unknown. The project I created, refers to the human hand's dominance over nature, which symbolizes the extensive and destructive influence of us, humans, on nature. An influence that threatens the continued existence of planet earth in its current form. It is the hand that controls and creates the mycelium, the rate and extent of its growth, the direction and thickness of its branches. Humanity has taken over nature and the mycelium, being one of the oldest survivors, continues to survive - somewhat reminiscent of the Jewish people - in any condition. Even the coloring is dark and deceptive, with digital flashes of color, which change shape as quickly as the technology that humanity has created, which is also somewhat taking over the world with or against humans. The sound is also jarring and hard to listen to, complementing the murky atmosphere. Most of the time the mycelium is hidden from the human eye, sometimes people are disgusted by moldy mushrooms or fear poisonous or psychedelic mushrooms. But the mycelium is the real thing, not the fungus. The mushroom is the fruit of this amazing creature.
