USC Institute of Urology Gala

The USC Institute of Urology “Changing Lives and Creating Cures” gala held November 20, 2014 in Beverly Hills brought together more than 500 Hollywood stars, Los Angeles VIPs, urologic surgeons from across the country and supporters in the fight for prostate, kidney and bladder cancers. The event raised more than $2 million and honored prostate cancer survivor Derrick Hall, CEO of the Arizona Diamondbacks major league baseball team, with the inaugural “Louis Zamperini Courage” Award. Guests were entertained by late night TV host and comedian Jay Leno and Grammy-winner Sheryl Crow. The event hosts included C.L. Max Nikias, president of USC, Jeff Small, COO of DreamWorks Studios, Carmen A. Puliafito, MD, MBA, Dean of the Keck School of Medicine of USC and Inderbir Gill, MD, founder and executive director of the USC Institute of Urology.
