The heart of central Seoul is shutdown every New Year's Eve for a massive event to ring in the new year, a ceremony in which the mayor rings the bell hanging in an old pavilion outside of Jonggak Station. To close out 2025, I decided to take you on a walk from that area out to Hongdae to give you a glimpse of what Seoul is like after midnight on New Year's Eve.
