For this week's episode of my Train Sim World 4 (TSW4) Winter Series, I take the Phase 1 ACS-64 for a spin on Amtrak Northeast Regional 173 from Boston South Station to Providence. For the first time ever, the snow itself literally slowed my train down significantly. I've experienced wheelslip and traction issues before. But they were so severe that I never cracked 100 MPH between Boston Back Bay & Route 128, so thus I lost time that I was unable to recover. However, once departing Route 128, I was able to hit and maintain track speed. This video game gives me more respect for what real life train engineers and crews have to deal with every day. Enjoy.
