Attempt to Murder Case Solved by PS New Usmanpur – Two Persons Including a CCL Apprehended; Firearm and Motorcycle Seized The team of PS New Usmanpur has solved an attempt to murder case with the arrest/apprehension of two persons, including a CCL. A semi-automatic pistol with two live cartridges and the motorcycle used in the offence were recovered from their possession. A case was registered at PS New Usmanpur regarding an incident on 07.09.2025, wherein the victim, Abdul Wahid (24 years), S/o Abdul Rahoof, R/o Jagjit Nagar, New Usmanpur, Delhi, was shot at by two unidentified persons riding a motorcycle after overtaking him. A dedicated police team led by Insp. Rajender Kasana, SHO/New Usmanpur, under the supervision of Shri Vikramjit Singh Virk, gathered evidence, examined CCTV footage, and developed vital clues that led to the identification of the suspects. Based on these clues, the team successfully arrested Nadeem (22 years), S/o Aneesh, R/o Gali No. 7, New Mustafabad, Delhi, and apprehended a 16-year-old CCL., a semi-automatic pistol with two live cartridges was recovered from their possession, and the motorcycle used in the crime, Hero Splendor (No. DL-5SCJ-5125) was seized. During interrogation/examination, both confessed to their involvement and disclosed that the incident was linked to an old dispute between them. Further investigation in the case is underway. On 07.09.2025, in the evening, a firing incident was reported at PS New Usmanpur. Upon reaching the spot, i.e., 2nd Pusta, it was found that the victim had already been taken to JPC Hospital by his family members. At JPC Hospital, the injured, Abdul Wahid (24 years), S/o Abdul Rahoof, R/o E-5, Gali No. 1, Jagjit Nagar, New Usmanpur, Delhi, reported that after closing his shop, while he was returning from Gandhi Nagar on a scooty along with his cousins Kalam (24 years) and Zahid (13 years), two persons on a motorcycle overtook them and fired at him from a pistol before fleeing the spot. Accordingly, a case under Sections 109(1)/3(5) BNS and 25/27 Arms Act was registered at PS New Usmanpur, and investigation was initiated. The forensic team processed the spot and collected evidence. Police teams have been deployed to trace clues and arrest the accused at the earliest. Investigation in the case is underway.
