Decided this weekend to take the truck nearly 2hrs away to southside dragway in Wv after some friends of mine invited me to a slow car event that was being put on There was only 2 classes a 7sec slower and 7sec faster Of corse I can’t even get into the 7s so I was one of the slowest cars there but I only went to settle a local grudge race that was suppose to happen on the streets with my friend of mines ls s10 4.8/4l80 swap It would be my first time actually running against another car and both being ls s10s I figure it was a perfect opportunity The track was a no prep flash light start with no times so I had to rely on my draggy for times and I also logged with hp tuners I lost first round to a completely gutted out bracket mustang I spun pretty bad but most of all I couldn’t hear my truck over the open header mustang lol I almost ran him down but he got me by 1 car length 2nd pass was the grudge race aginst my friends ls s10 My truck did better with one of my best 60fts to date but was still slow on et @8.69 but it was enough for the win 3rd pass was loser round and I went up aginst a impala ss with a lsa motor and boy he was way outta my league Either way I wanted to try some things since I knew I didn’t have a chance so I lightly cleaned my tires off in the burnout box and staged out of the groove some (I was experiencing some wheel hop) thinking I could keep some wheel speed and shift 800rpm sooner Truck ran a similar et that it had In earlier passes After that we swapped wheels and left to make the long trip back home All in all I had a blast and wish maybe I would have seen some kinda et gains going from bare street to a decent surface track but it slowed down what looks like about .25 secs I was very pleased with how the truck did in heavy traffic on a hot day and loved cruising the open highways somewhere other then my usual routes Can’t wait to go back I already have some adjustments in mind to try #lsswap #s10 #truck #dailyvlog #automobile #btr #s10life #spintech #chevrolet #ss3 #motorsport #s10nation #lsswaptheworld #dragracing #racing #shorts #builtnotbought #homemade #hotrod #vlog #fun #truckracing #shortvideo #cars
