I made pizza while camping and I THINK it may have been a fluke! Check out my socials here: www.instagram.com/casterazucar https://bsky.app/profile/casterazucar... And be sure to like and subscribe if you enjoyed this video! Check out Surv at your local New Zealand and Australian Supermarkets! They make reuseable and sustainable serveware for picnics, camping, parties - whatever you can think of! They were the brand of choice for me before they gifted me the products in the video, so I'm happy they reached out. I'm no pizza-on-the-griddle novice. But I find with camping I am PERPETUALLY underprepared, so often, I have to make do with what I've got. It can leave the results, often underwhelming. Now, with the family after a holiday that won't break the bank, we're doing more camping, and so, I've got no excuse not to learn how to cook well while out and about. PRO TIPS: if in Auckland and you're looking for some campsites, the auckland council website has a booking system for campsites in Auckland Regional Parks. They vary in terms of amenities, but in general they're very well kept and very cheap - https://www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/p... If you're a little antisocial, book through the week. Things get busy through weekends. So, if you're a social butterfly, weekends can get busy (thats across most sites) -A fairly standard tool for me will be a portable bbq or a Griddle (I use @razorgriddle and full disclosure, am paid by them, but this video was not sponsored by Razor Griddle.) Knives, chopping boards Anything else I can remember to bring from home. But generally, that won't extend much past a mixing bowl (the red one in the video I had to buy at a semi-local shop - only four bucks!) I don't particularly feel like being that person that brings a fridge to the campsite (if there is power) because well, that feels a bit like cheating, but that extends to other things too, like anything that can be plugged in that can be done, technically, manually. Camping isn't about recreating a home somewhere else. Its relaxation and nature, contextualized by difficulty, and its not necessarily, cooking first (but I want good food). Also, please leave comments for any suggestions of how to expand our camping arsenal, reasonably. We currently have: Tent Sleeping bags Griddle Foam mats Pillows (we didnt take pillows on the first trip, that was hell, I now have newfound respect for them) So, I guess, expect a bit of a journey. What's in store? I don't know. But I do know, there will be highs, there will be lows. Failure and success is one mighty rollercoaster. Thanks for watching.
