It's taken me a few years, but I finally have my gardening "uniform." Join me for this video to hear what I wear out to work in the garden, and why. This is more a chat about categories of clothing than mentioning every item by specific brand and sku. See below for a list of places that I source from. (comes in two sizes which is great for a more petite lady wrist) GENERAL SOURCES: Thrifted or secondhand items; local shops, or I get a lot at Postmark. It's overwhelming at first, but remember... you're looking at measurements, garment construction, and fiber content (e.g. 100% linen, cotton, etc.) NOT at specific sizes or brand names. Jackets, collared shirts, and vintage sweaters are mostly what I look for secondhand. A few activewear companies offer occasional classic silhouettes with more performance attributes, like wicking and venting. Columbia and Prana are two that I have found good options from. TALL SOURCES: The men's section... things can be tailored or sometimes an oversized fit is just right. For instance, I have perfect linen and outerwear "shacket" options from the company Quince that are technically men's. This is a favorite: https://www.quince.com/men/double-bru... Duluth and Carhartt both carry tall pants/overalls. They're not extremely long, but I find with a high boot, they pretty much do the trick. I get almost all of my fitted collared long sleeve shirts from JCrew. I opt for denim, less dressy cotton, and linen here. Sometimes having a long enough sleeve without the extra man room is just nice.
