Day 2 of our Around the World series takes us first to the Asakusa historic area of Tokyo where we saw incense burning, the Senso-Ji Temple and we had to make sure to seek out the Kagetsudo Melon Bread store (which is very much worth the wait - but remember, cash only for a 700 yen melon bread with vanilla ice cream). Then it was on to Ueno Park for a day in the sun to people watch, get a coffee, watch some street performers, basketball and the Ueno zoo. Then it was back to our favorite noodle shop, Marugame Seisen Udon in Tokyo for a hearty dinner. YUM!
