Although the WPL lineup of R/C trucks isn't hobby grade, with a little work (and not much money), you can turn them into passable little off-road rigs. The C14 trail truck is an attractive little machine, however, the steering setup was sorely in need of an update. After a few online searches and purchases, I cobbled together a collection of components (ESC, steering servo, receiver, battery) to give this tiny truck an internal overhaul). It now has proportional steering as well as the ability to run off of a 1S LiPo battery. With all of these pieces in place, it's time to hit the trail and see what kind of fun we can have! I do want to share links to a few YouTube channels that I've found to be quite helpful when it comes to this truck. These folks are also modifying their WPL machines to perform better and become more enjoyable to drive.
