Mother Allegedly Kills Her 2 Young Children | Khayaban-e-Mujahid | Karachi Incident

A deeply tragic incident shook Karachi’s Khayaban-e-Mujahid when a mother, identified as Adeeba, allegedly killed her two young children — 7-year-old son Zarar Ghufran and 4-year-old daughter Samia Ghufran — by slitting their throats inside her home. According to SSP South Muzamil Ali, the parents had divorced earlier in 2024, and the court had granted custody of the children to the father, Ghufran. The children would regularly visit their mother, who lived alone in a rented house. On the day of the incident, the father’s employee, Khan Badshah, dropped the children at their mother’s house in the afternoon as usual. In the evening, the mother called and said the children would stay overnight and return the next day. The next morning, when the father sent his employee to pick them up, the children were found dead in the bathroom. Police say the mother was reportedly suffering from psychological issues. She has been arrested along with the murder weapon, and further investigation is underway.
