Welcome to my channel! Most shows have a theme with new shows coming every week. Kick your shoes off and have some fun! - Billy Producers Releasing Corporation (generally known as PRC) was the smallest and least prestigious of the 11 Hollywood film companies of the 1940s. It was considered a prime example of what was called "Poverty Row": a low-rent stretch of Gower Street in Hollywood where shoestring film producers based their operations. However, PRC was more substantial than the usual independent companies that made only a few low-budget movies and then disappeared. PRC was an actual Hollywood studio – albeit the smallest – with its own production facilities and distribution network, and it even accepted imports from the UK. PRC lasted from 1939 to 1947, churning out low-budget B movies for the lower half of a double bill or the upper half of a neighborhood theater showing second-run films. ~~~~~~~~~~~Featured Films~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bluebeard (1945) - When seamstress Lucille (Jean Parker) accepts a job designing costumes for charismatic puppeteer and portrait artist Gaston Morrell (John Carradine), she has no idea that he is, in fact, Bluebeard, the infamous serial killer who has been terrorizing Paris. Sparks soon fly between Lucille and Morrell but complications arise when Morell's previous lover Renee (Sonia Sorel) becomes jealous and must be dealt with according to Morell's grisly custom. John Carradine had always considered his role as Gaston Morrell in Bluebeard as his favorite and since it's one of his few starring ones it's easy to see why. =============================================== ☛ Detour (1945) - In New York, piano player Al Roberts (Tom Neal) laments when his singer girlfriend, Sue Harvey (Claudia Drake), leaves for Hollywood, Calif. When Al gets some money, he decides to hitchhike to California to join Sue. In Arizona, Al accepts a ride with Charles Haskell (Edmund MacDonald), but during a storm in a freak accident, Haskell is killed. Frightened, Al assumes Haskell's identity and car, but soon comes upon the mysterious Vera (Ann Savage), who seems to know all about his true identity. ================================================ ☛ The Devil Bat (1940) - A mad scientist develops an aftershave lotion that causes his gigantic bats to kill anyone who wears it!
