PRESS RELEASE DELHI POLICE ​ ​*NORTH-WEST DISTRICT* ​​​​​​​ 31.07.2025 “BLIND ARMED ROBBERY CASE CRACKED WITHIN 72 HOURS OF INCIDENT BY THE STAFF OF PS MUKHERJEE NAGAR” ❖ 04 NOTORIOUS ROBBERS WERE ARRESTED BY TEAM OF PS MUKHERJEE NAGAR. ❖ ACCUSED HELD THE VICTIM AT GUNPOINT AND LOOTED HIS HOUSE. ❖ ONE HYUNDAI XCENT CAR USED IN CRIME (WITH FAKE NUMBER PLATE & WHEEL CAPS), THREE AUTOMATIC PISTOLS AND FOUR LIVE CARTRIDGES WERE RECOVERED FROM THEIR POSSESSION. ❖ THEY COMMITTED CRIMES TO EARN EASY MONEY IN ORDER TO SUSTAIN A LAVISH LIFESTYLE BEYOND THEIR MEANS. With the arrest of four notorious robbers, namely (1) Kamal Raj, S/o Sant Ram, R/o Village Tewari, Ganaur, Sonipat, Haryana; Age: 28 years, (2) Rokky, S/o Late Krishan, R/o VPO Lagwana Kalan, Julana, Jind, Haryana; Age: 26 years, (3) Ashok Kumar Yadav, S/o Budhan Yadav, R/o Village Naraina, Delhi; Age: 26 years, and (4) Shivam @ Surat Singh, S/o Tejpal, R/o Village Dayal Pur, Tehsil Mavana, Meerut, UP; Age: 22 years, the team of PS Mukherjee Nagar has successfully solved a robbery case registered vide FIR No. 596/25 U/s 311/3(5) BNS at PS Mukherjee Nagar. During the investigation, the weapon of offence—three pistols along with four live cartridges—and one Hyundai Xcent car bearing a fake number plate & using extra wheel caps, used by the accused to flee the scene, were recovered from their possession. The accused persons committed the crime with the intent to earn easy money to fulfill their personal desires and sustain a lavish lifestyle beyond their legitimate means. ◆ BRIEF FACTS & INCIDENT DETAILS:- ​On 27.07.2025, a PCR call was received at PS Mukherjee Nagar with the information: "CALLER BOL RAHA HAI KI MERE ROOM KE ANDAR 3 LADKE AAYE, PISTOL LEKAR MUJHE KAMRE MEI ALAG BAITHAKAR MERA MUNH DUSRI TARAF KAR DIYA, PATA NAHI KYA CHORI KIYA HAI, 2 NE MUNH PAR MASK LAGA RAKHA THA." A H. No. 1242, 2nd Floor, Mukherjee Nagar. The caller, Jatinder Singh S/o Inderjeet Singh, resident of the said address, reported that he was present in his room when three unknown persons, carrying firearms, forcefully entered and directed him to sit facing away. They asked him to hand over jewellery and money. When he informed them that no cash was kept at home, one of the intruders began searching the almirahs, took some items, and fled the spot after locking the room from outside. Later, Mrs. Harmanpreet Kaur, wife of the complainant, confirmed that the robbers had taken away two gold bangles, a pair of earrings, and ₹1.5 lakhs in cash from her almirah. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 596/25 U/s 311/3(5) BNS was registered at PS Mukherjee Nagar, a dedicated team of PS Mukherjee Nagar, under the leadership of Inspector Rajeev Shah, SHO/PS Mukherjee Nagar, comprising of SI Rajesh Kumar, SI Arun Kumar, HC Sitender Khokhar, HC Parveen Bhati, HC Thandi Ram, HC Vikash, HC Ankit, HC Varun Alok, HC Kunwar Pal, HC Dinesh, Ct. Sanjeet, Ct. Ravinder, Ct. Anirudh, Ct. Yogesh & Ct. Goga Ram are under the close supervision of Sh. Suresh Chand, ACP/Model Town, and overall supervision of undersigned was constituted. The team was thoroughly briefed and tasked with apprehending the culprits at the earliest. The team analyzed the CCTV footages from the scene of the crime and the surrounding vicinity. It was observed that the accused persons had arrived in a Hyundai Xcent car bearing registration number DL12C5969. Upon verification, it was found that the number plate was fake and actually belonged to a Verna car, while the vehicle used in the crime was a Hyundai Xcent. The complainant, along with other family members and domestic staff, was thoroughly examined, but no substantial clue emerged. Based on the available CCTV footages, the forward route of the suspect vehicle was traced. Subsequently, vital information was received via a vehicle monitoring application indicating that the suspect vehicle was spotted in Gujranwala Town at 7:09 AM. Following this lead, the team traced the back route of the car and observed that the accused had reached near the scene of crime at around 7:20 AM—approximately four hours prior to the incident. The car was further tracked till Palam Air Force Station, Delhi Cantonment, but no further clue could be established from there. CCTV footage from key installations including the Cantonment Board, Dhaula Kuan Police Booth, and Traffic HQ Todapur & Aero city Centre Air Port, Delhi were examined.
