Order Picking Gantry Robotic Palletiser and De-palletiser for mixed pallets - RAUPACK

In this order picking application in the drinks industry a number of Gantry robots act as De-palletisers and Palletisers creating mixed pallets of Kegs, Creates, Cases and Trays of canned drinks. The mechanical clamping gripper on the de-palletising robot clamps the crates and removes then from the pallet placing them onto a conveyor. Case are de-palletised using Vacuum to lift the cases slightly so that a plate can pass underneath the case to allow the horizontal clamping gripper to grip the case. The cases are placed onto a conveyor. Downstream a stacker stacks the cases, crates or trays to the height required by the stacking pattern. A Gantry palletising Robot takes the stack and places the stack onto the pallet. A mechanical Keg gripper places any keg onto the pallet. The software decides how the products should be palletised according to the customer order. It ensures that Kegs are not placed onto of cans and so on.
