Eurotunnel carriage doors

If you've not been on the Eurotunnel you might find this fascinating. During your journey each carriage is separated by doors which fold flat against the sides when the cars are entering or leaving the train. When the doors are closed each vehicle compartment is pressurised (the hissing noise in the background) as a safety precaution against fire etc. The side doors can be opened (by pressing a button) during the journey if you need to move from carriage to carriage or need the loo :) These doors then close automatically after a few seconds. A very clever piece of engineering! P.S. I was involved in the development and building of the original Motorola communications system on the Eurotunnel many years ago.
