When I was In Paris I got an opportunity to sit at Place #DulcieSeptember, a communal square that pays tribute to the South African ANC activist/politician who was assassinated in Paris in 1988. She also has a road named after her, its about 6kms that way. As recently as December 2022, French justice system dismissed the case brought forward by the family of Dulcie to reopen the case. See the family had been trying to sue the French government for gross negligence, not for money, but for the hopes of reopening the investigation into the #assassination of the SAn apartheid activist. So what happened to Dulcie ? Well on March 29, 1988, #Dulcie September, was murdered by three bullets on at her office, in the heart of Paris, to be more exact, at the offices of African National Congress (#ANC) So many questions still remain about the cold-blooded murder of Dulcie September Who ordered the murder of this woman? Was it the Apartheid government ? was it the French Gov? or even worse, was it both ? But why ? At the time of her death, Dulcie was intensely investigating alleged arms trafficking between Paris and Pretoria. Thirty years later, many are still convinced that the French secret services were heavily responsible for his death, hence many in South Africa, including the family, still want this case to reopened. The murder of Dulcie September isn’t just about grotesque apartheid murder, its also the story about how France supported the SA #apartheidgovernment for mega profits and black suffering. Lets go down the rabbit hole.
