Indonesia's parliament on Thursday (Mar 20) passed into law contentious revisions to the country's military Bill, which will allocate more civilian posts for military officers. This sparked protests, with some students camping at the parliamentary building. The revisions have stoked concern of a return to the era of former strongman President Suharto, when the military played a key role in cracking down on dissent.
