#FAITH, HOPE, LOVE... ...And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13, NKJV) =================== MORE @ / @dailywordins • John Chapter 1 _ Daily Word For Ins... John 1:28 Ang mga ito'y nangyari sa Bethania, sa silangan ng Ilog Jordan na pinagbabautismuhan ni Juan. "Preparing the Heart for Christ" In John 1:28, it says, "This all happened at Bethany on the other side of the Jordan, where John was baptizing." John the Baptist's role was to prepare the people for the coming of Jesus. He wasn’t just baptizing; he was calling people to repentance and urging them to prepare their hearts for the Savior who was coming. John demonstrated that his mission was to make straight the way for Christ, and we too are called to prepare for God's work in our lives. A good example of preparation can be found in the story of King David. Before David brought the Ark of the Covenant into Jerusalem, he had to ensure that the people were spiritually ready. This preparation wasn’t just about the physical process of moving the Ark, but about the hearts of the people being ready to honor God (1 Chronicles 15:12-14). Just as John called people to prepare their hearts to receive Jesus, we are also called to do the same. Preparing for Jesus is not always about outward things—it’s about preparing our hearts. Just as David prepared the people and John prepared the way, we are invited to examine our own hearts. Are there areas of our lives that we need to cleanse and make space for Jesus? Like a garden that needs care to bear fruit, our hearts need regular tending to grow in our relationship with Christ. As we reflect on John the Baptist’s call to repentance, we are reminded that true preparation is not just about outward actions, but about a humble heart ready to receive Jesus. During this season of waiting, let us ask ourselves, "Is my heart truly ready to welcome Christ into my life?" Heavenly Father, We thank You for the example of John the Baptist, who invited the people to prepare their hearts for Your coming. Help us to do the same. Show us the areas of our lives that we need to cleanse, remove obstacles, and make room for You. We don’t want to miss the opportunity to draw near to You, so help us prepare our hearts and minds to truly receive You. May Your presence bring transformation to our lives and give clarity to our path. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🥰
