Maesyronnen Chapel was built in 1696. The house was built on in the 18th century, to house a caretaker. The first building built on this site dates from the 15 hundreds. The Landmark Trust acquired this property in 1985 and opened it as a holiday let in 1986. Maesyronnen means meadow of the ash tree. The Chapel is the earliest purpose built nonconformist Chapel surviving in Wales. Predating other such known examples by nearly 80 years, and is still used for Sunday service to this day. The Landmark Trust allows you to holiday in history. Time travel by holidaying in beautiful historical properties that are a marvel to behold. Gaze upon wondrous style, and elaborate decoration from a bygone era, a time almost forgotten, and almost lost forever.
