Nier Automata was by far my favorite game of 2017 and my medley for the game was made immediately after I'd finished it so I tried to hold on to all of those emotions I had and spill them out. However the amazing credits theme didn't really fit in. Plus I wanted to wait until I had the perfect singer to do it the way I heard it in my head. Little did I know that singer was right in front of me. Caleb absolutely killed it, I love how much raw emotion he can pump into his music and I think it was perfect for this. Knowing he was going to be his beautiful tear jerking self, I tried to reign back the arrangement a bit, only playing leads for the solo to give him all the room in the mix he needed. I still may have gone overboard with the backing orchestra though, but it was so much fun!
