Beschreibung ( english description below) „Der liebe Gott verteilt Geschenke“…. ist die Anfangszeile eines Liedes, das ich noch nicht veröffentlicht habe und in dem es um Freundschaft, Loyalität und Rückhalt geht und sie passt perfekt zu diesem Video. Mein „brother from a different mother“ Masaki Toraiwa hat es mir geschenkt als er vor ein paar Wochen bei uns zu Besuch war. Da er nicht nur ein herausragender Musiker, sondern auch ein leidenschaftlicher Filmer ist, hatte er den Wunsch einen meiner Songs zu verfilmen und seine Wahl fiel auf den, den ich geschrieben hab als mein Sohn zur Welt kam. In der Tat fehlten mir lange die Worte, um dieses lebensverändernde Ereignis zu beschreiben. Wie so oft löste ein Satz meiner Frau den Knoten und heute hat das Lied einen ganz besonderen Stellenwert für mich. Es wurde das Lieblings-Schlaflied meiner Tochter, es hat bei meinen Konzerten so manchen Vater zu Tränen gerührt und nun bekam es auch noch ein wunderschönes Video geschenkt. My “brother from a different mother” Masaki Toraiwa gave it to me as a gift, when he visited us a few weeks ago. Since he is not only an outstanding musician but also a passionate filmmaker, he wanted to make a video for one of my songs and he chose the one I wrote for my son after he was born. In fact, for a long time I couldn't find the words to describe this life-changing event. As so often, a sentence from my wife untangled the knot and these days the song has a very special meaning for me. It became my daughter's favorite lullaby, it has moved many fathers to tears at my concerts and now it has also been given a beautiful video. Thank you so very much, Masaki!
