David Brandom - Saxophone Saxophonist David Brandom has made an impressive career in music. Besides touring with Frank Sinatra for many years, David has worked with many great jazz artists including: Tony Bennett, Randy Brecker, Bobby Caldwell, Bill Charlap, Natalie Cole, Sammy Davis Jr., Joe Lovano, David Matthew’s Super Latin Jazz Orchestra, Houston Person, and Maria Schneider’s Big Band and most recently, composer Mike Abene’s Jazz Orchestra. David is a founding member of the Westchester Jazz Orchestra which released 2 CD, “All In” in 2007 and “Maiden Voyage Suite” in August, 2011. David has also played with many pop artists including: Billy Joel, Elton John, Melissa Manchester, Johnny Mathis, Sting, James Taylor, The Spinners, The Temptations, and The Four Tops. David’s versatility as a woodwind specialist has allowed him to work on many Broadway shows including: “Ain’t Misbehavin,” “Annie,” “Annie Get Your Gun,” “Billy Elliott”, “Chicago,”“Fosse,” “Grease,” “Hairspray,”“In the Heights,” “Jersey Boys,” “Nine to Five”,“Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”, “A Bronx Tale” and“Beautiful.” Tim Regusis - Piano Tim Regusis is a pianist and keyboardist who has been active in the jazz scene of the New York City region as well as in the fields of R&B, Latin and various world musics for many years. He has played and/or recorded with Patti Austin, David Byrne, Jonathan Butler, Ruben Blades, Chuck Mangione, Chaka Khan, Donna Summer, Ofra Haza, Najee, Daniel Ponce Rick Margitza, Cindy Blackman, Jeff Williams, Akira Ohmori, and many others. He has toured the U.S., Europe, Japan, Australia, South Africa, Indonesia and Russia. Mike McGuirk - Bass Bassist Mike McGuirk grew up in Portland, Oregon. At age eleven he began playing the electric bass and, while in high school, devoted his attention to the acoustic bass. He went on to study at the University of North Texas with Jeff Bradetich, where he received a bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies. In 1997, he won the International Society of Bassists jazz bass competition. Since arriving in New York he has played and/or recorded with John Abercrombie, Marc Copland, David Liebman, Tim Hagans, Don Friedman, Joey Baron, Andy Laverne, Eliot Zigmund, Adam Nussbaum, Bennie Wallace, Mulgrew Miller, Billy Drummond, Renee Rosnes, Walt Weiskopf and Eddie Henderson among others. Ron Vincent - Drums Ron is a native of Warwick, Rhode Island, Ron attended Berklee College of Music from 1969 to 1973. After touring the U.S. with a variety of jazz groups, and three years in Kansas City (79-82), Ron settled in New York City in 1982. Since then, Ron has become a veteran of the New York City jazz scene. Working often as a sideman he has been recorded on over 85 CDs. Ron was a member of the Gerry Mulligan Quartet and the Re-Birth of the Cool Tentet from 1989 until Mr. Mulligan’s passing in 1996. He recorded four CDs with Mr. Mulligan and has also recorded with Phil Woods, Lee Konitz, Randy Brecker, Bob Brookmeyer, Bill Charlap, John Lewis, Slide Hampton, Sandy Stewart and Bill Mays to name a few. As a leader, his own trio and quartet are active in the New York City area and his quartet has toured the U.S. and Europe. As a jazz artist/educator for Sabian Cymbals from 1986-2006 Ron presented workshops at over 100 Colleges and Universities and has been on the faculty of the Jamie Aebersold Jazz Camps and the Stanford Jazz Camp (CA). In 1996 Ron received a National Endowment for the Arts grant for jazz performance. Scott Reeves - Trombone Scott Reeves is a trombonist, alto flugelhornist, composer and educator. He has performed at many New York City venues including Birdland, the Village Vanguard, Smoke, the Iridium, Small’s, Dizzy’s at Lincoln Center, Sweet Rhythm, the 55 Bar, Cornelia St. Café and the Knitting Factory with groups such as the Dave Liebman Big Band, the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Bill Mobley’s Smoke Big Band, the Oliver Lake Big Band, the Chico O’Farrill Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra, Manhattan Bones, and his own quintet and big band. He has also performed at leading jazz clubs in Rome, Lisbon, Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto. Scott performs on four CD’s by the Dave Liebman Big Band and has also recorded with the Anthony Braxton Orchestra and the Bill Mobley Big Band. His compositions and arrangements have been recorded by the Liebman and Mobley big bands, as well as the Osaka Global Jazz Orchestra in Japan. Scott’s small group recordings as a leader include “Congressional Roll Call” (with pianists Kenny Werner and James Williams), “Shape Shifter” (with tenor saxophonist Rich Perry), “Tribute,” by his 4-trombone/3 rhythm group Manhattan Bones, and his 2022 quintet recording, “The Alchemist.” The 17-piece Scott Reeves Jazz Orchestra has released two CDs on Origin Records featuring artists such as saxophonist Steve Wilson and vocalist Carolyn Leonhart: “Portraits and Places” (2016) and “Without A Trace” (2018)
