There was a weather window forecasted for early morning, couldn't sleep excited as a small kid before Christmas. Headed out at 3 am, to be on the water while the wind is still calm... After arrival realized that the forecast is off, but not too bad to do a bit of paddling for a few hours. My current limit is gusts up to 15 knots, this was there along with the tide pushing me in the same direction. Swell getting pushed by wind creating weird conditions. With the current setup (aqua marina drift + seat and foot braces) I trained in up to 30 knots (not fishing) and still could push through the wind and swell (just really hard work) so halfway is still doable :) Fishing was kinda nice, getting around 20 Pollock in different sizes, the biggest one only 4 pounds. I use light rods one up to 15g and another medium up to 28 so even a small fish is a lot of fun to fight. With only 3 hours of sleep :) I was getting quite tired so before 9 decided to head home for a quick nap :) and afternoon on the opposite side of the bay.
