Canada Launches Francophone Student Pilot Program to Attract French-Speaking Students ~ IRCC

Canada is stepping up efforts to welcome French-speaking international students and immigrants, launching a new pilot program to support Francophone Minority Communities. 17 New Program Launch: On August 26, 2024, the Francophone Minority Communities Student Pilot (FMCSP) program will be launched. ✓ The program is in collaboration with designated French-language and bilingual post-secondary learning institutions (DLIs). 10 new communities have been added to the Welcoming Francophone Communities (WFC) initiative. ✔ Increased Opportunities: The program offers a direct pathway from temporary to permanent residency, along with settlement services for better integration. Strengthening FMCs: These measures aim to revitalize Francophone Minority Communities across Canada, meeting their skilled workforce needs and enriching their cultural fabric.
