PRE-ORDER MY NEW PHOTO BOOK, ARTIST IN RESIDENCE: https://www.joshuacharow.com/books/air Contact me: [email protected] Follow me on instagram: / joshuacharow The late Frank Mason was a painter and instructor at the Art Students League of New York who taught three generations of artists how to capture form and motion of subject matter revealed by light and atmosphere using the techniques of Renaissance and Baroque classical methods. In addition to Mason’s ability to paint portraits in the grand manner, he traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe to produce a prolific body of landscape paintings. Mason believed that painting and illustration is not about copying the subject. It’s about capturing the choicest sensations it has made upon the artist and that nature inspires the artist in all its forms.
