In this video I show how to install a gas gauge on a 2024 Toro TimeCutter Max Havoc Edition with a 54 inch deck zero turn mower. If you’re tired of guessing how much fuel is left while mowing, this simple upgrade adds a fuel sender and gas gauge so you can monitor your fuel level accurately. This is a great DIY upgrade for Toro TimeCutter owners and can help prevent running out of gas mid-mow. Follow along as I walk through the entire installation step-by-step. ⸻ Installation Steps Step 1 – Remove the mower seat to access the fuel tank area. Step 2 – Drill a small test hole to check the depth of the gas tank. Step 3 – Order the correct fuel sender/float and gauge size based on the tank depth. Step 4 – Drill a 1-3/8 inch hole in the tank for the sender/float. Step 5 – Install the sender with the rubber gasket. Mark and drill mounting holes using a 5/32 drill bit, then hand tighten the screws. Step 6 – Drill a 2 inch hole centered in the plastic cover for the gauge. Step 7 – Install the gas gauge into the 2 inch hole. Step 8 – Connect the wiring according to the gauge wiring diagram. Step 9 – Verify power to the gauge and fill the tank with gas to test. Step 10 – Reinstall the seat. ⸻ This mod works great on the Toro TimeCutter Max Havoc Edition and other Toro zero turn mowers with similar fuel tanks.
