Hi: I'm here in Belmont Heights, CA. Belmont Heights was originally a city unto itself. Established in 1908, the City of Long Beach annexed it in 1909, and it's been part of Long Beach ever since. It is bordered by the ocean on the south, 7th St on the north, Nieto on the east and Redondo Ave on the west. This is a beautiful neighborhood, and lots of people try to find homes to live here. We have wonderful homes! Behind us is a modified California bungalow, often called "Craftsman". We also have Mediterranean, Victorian, Spanish colonial, Spanish revival, Tudor revival and neo-traditional. That's the character that attracts people to this area. You know, we have a very interesting street that I'm looking at here. It's called Vista Avenue. This avenue has been transformed in the last year to be a bike friendly street. They city has spent a lot of time putting in roundabouts every other block. These slow traffic and help to beautify Belmont Heights. We have some wonderful schools that attract parents and students to this area as well. We have two elementary schools: Lowell and Rogers. We also have two middle schools: Jefferson on 7th St. and Rogers, which is on Nieto. Both of these fine middle schools feed into Wilson High School. People live living here. They love it because it's such a great residential area, and also because of the great restaurants and stores and the ocean activities that they're able to get involved with. So come visit, and maybe some day live here. And if you do decide to live here, call me and I'll find that perfect place. See you next week. Thanks for watching! Sheila
