Click here to see last weeks video 👉    • My Weekly Mowing Routine for a Great Lawn   Sometimes I over think things, this could very well be one of those times. I am not certain of what to expect moving forwards, but I guess we are going to find out. With the best of intentions I have scarified the backyard and lowered the grass height by 5mm . There was 5 catchers of thatch removed. A good result in theory. The cut afterwards turned into a disaster with scalping occuring all over the backyard. I think the order I should have done things instead should be firstly to lower the cut height, then scarify, then raise the mower to the desired cut height and trim the lawn again. The end result now though is that I am going to have to delay the PGR application as it will opnly work if there is leaf for the product to be absorbed into. I am not a pro, just a guy who likes to cut the grass. This was a massive learning experience and I will be a better lawny for having learnt it. Now to recovering and making the lawn sparkle again.
