Sunday's activities at the 245th Anniversary of the Battle of Monmouth included an ensemble of players from British and Continental units. As Gary Vorwald stated it was the first time they played together. Because of their common history many of the calls and music were common. The fife and the drum were used to give audible commands both in camp and on the battlefield.
