Karnataka politics has entered a new phase with intense discussions about a possible “December Revolution” inside the BJP. After weeks of internal disputes within the Congress, attention has now shifted to BJP developments. A group of BJP leaders — Ramesh Jarakiholi, Kumar Bangarappa, B.P. Harish, Shrimant Patil, B.V. Nayak and G.M. Siddeshwar — has reached New Delhi to meet the party high command. Reports from Delhi indicate that the visit aims to prevent the reappointment of B.Y. Vijayendra as Karnataka BJP President. Although Kumar Bangarappa stated that the delegation is focused on strengthening party organisation, political circles believe the core agenda is the leadership issue. Processes related to the state president election have already been completed, and several district units have expressed support for Vijayendra. The Yediyurappa camp expects an official announcement soon. Rebel leaders are reportedly relying on the influence of Union Minister Somanna, who is seen as a key supporter within Delhi. The ongoing POCSO case involving B.S. Yediyurappa is also being assessed as a political factor that could impact Vijayendra’s prospects. Meanwhile, discussions include possibilities of cabinet positions for B.Y. Raghavendra as part of political balancing. The high command earlier suspended Basanagouda Yatnal and issued notices to other MLAs, yet internal dissent remains strong. Rebel leaders claim support from National General Secretary B.L. Santhosh and Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and Shobha Karandlaje. With the winter session of Parliament underway, questions arise about whether the high command will engage with the dissenting group. The meeting between rebel leaders and Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has triggered speculation, though a shift to JD(S) is seen as unlikely. The BJP high command now faces two main choices: Announcing Vijayendra as the new state president while balancing the organisation by offering key roles to dissenters. Extending the current ad-hoc arrangement and assuring rebel leaders of future adjustments. Political observers are watching closely as the situation may lead to significant internal change, raising the question — Is BJP heading toward a December Revolution? •••••••••• Trivarna News- ಸಮಗ್ರ ಸುದ್ದಿ- ಸಮೃದ್ಧ ಕನ್ನಡ • Subscribe: / @trivarnanewskannada • Facebook: / trivarnanews • X: / trivarnanews • Instagram: / trivarnanewskannada •••••••••• ⚠️Disclaimer: The content in the video is for informational purposes only.
