Trial is a formal examination of evidence by a judge or before a jury, in order to decide the guilt. Trial is the process in both of the proceedings, i.e. civil as well as criminal. In the present video, Criminal Proceedings have been discussed. Criminal Trials have been categorized into four divisions having different procedures under Criminal Procedure Code, 1973: 1. Trial of Warrant Cases by Court of Session (section 225 - section 237); 2. Trial of Warrant Cases by Magistrate (section 238 - section 250); 3. Trial of Summon Cases (section 251 - section 259); 4. Trial of Summary Cases (section 260 - section 265). The present video is based on Chapter XX of CrPC that covers section 251- section 259.
