In Rafah, several injured children were being treated in hospital after airstrikes targeted suspected militants overnight, destroying a number of apartment buildings in the southern Gaza city. Meanwhile the Israeli military continued to bomb tunnels along the Gaza-Egypt border as part of an ongoing attempt to cut off Hamas' last lifeline to the world outside the embattled Palestinian territory. Aircraft also went after Hamas police and their vehicles on Thursday. One pre-dawn strike targeting the house of a Hamas operative in northern Gaza killed a 35-year-old woman and wounded eight people, a Gaza Health Ministry official said. A shop with children clothes was damaged in Gaza City in an airstrike that targeted nearby building of Palestinian Education Ministry.
