大家好，我是Lily～ 从7月5日出发，我计划了35天的高加索地区的旅程。我从格鲁吉亚走到了亚美尼亚。 位于东欧和西亚的交汇处，处于于黑海和里海之间的高加索山脉地区，伊斯兰文明和东正教信仰在这里碰撞交融，造就了独特的高加索文化。 格鲁吉亚的国土主体在亚洲，如果按照山脉划界，格鲁吉亚在地理上是个亚洲国家，但在文化认同上，格鲁吉亚人强烈倾向于欧洲。在亚美尼亚的我探索了很多千年修道院，这些修道院不容易到达，很多都孤立在峭壁之巅，隐匿在更深的梅斯蒂亚群山中。 这一个多月的旅程我从城市到乡村，不仅探索了高加索地区的建筑、美食与人文，还进行了一场7天的徒步去体验高加索山脉的雪山、丛林。两个国家虽然都不大，但是山脉众多且公路状况不佳，我经常坐着小巴车或者搭车从一个城市换到另一个城市，没想到搭车的经历成为此趟旅行最惊喜的点，在搭车的过程中我不仅重新认识了这座城市，也结识了一些非常朴实、善良可爱的本地人，有些人是你在旅途上用公共交通永远也不会遇上的人。 Starting on July 5th, I planned a 35-day trip through the Caucasus region, traveling from Georgia to Armenia. Located at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, the Caucasus Mountains are where Islamic civilization and Orthodox Christianity collide and blend, creating a unique Caucasian culture. Most of Georgia's territory is in Asia. If you go by mountains as the divider, Georgia is geographically part of Asia, but in terms of cultural identity, Georgians strongly lean toward Europe. In Armenia, I explored many thousand-year-old monasteries, which were not easy to reach—many stood isolated atop cliffs or hidden deep in the mountains around Mestia. During this month-long journey from cities to countryside, I explored Caucasus architecture, food, and culture, and also went on a seven-day hike to experience the snow-capped peaks and forests of the Caucasus Mountains. Even though both countries are small, their mountains are many, and roads are often in poor condition. I frequently traveled by minibuses or hitchhiked from one city to another. Surprisingly, the hitchhiking turned out to be the highlight of the trip. Not only did it allow me to see the cities in a new way, but I also met some incredibly kind and genuine locals—people you’d never encounter using public transportation while traveling.
