Wii Sports (2006) - Tennis gameplay. 🎾

hi, welcome back! This is a recording I made last week during my time off work - this time, I decided to record some brief gameplay of Tennis in the original Wii Sports. To note, although I do have a Wii console, it isn't working still so am starting from scratch via Dolphin Emulator. Wii Sports is an iconic game which formed part of my teen years; my dad and I would often play Tennis and would do long matches. This game really helped sell the Wii and made it a console to remember. In Wii Sports, you have a series of 5 sports to choose from - to note there was a 6th planned (Airplane) which was scrapped (as I assume the controls may've been unrefined; not sure). Airplane technically got revived via Island Flyover in the 2009 sequel, Wii Sports Resort. As well as the primary sports, a Wii Fitness and Training mode are both featured - for Wii Fitness, (IIRC) it tests your speed, accuracy and stamina (correct me if I'm wrong) and an age is calculated based on how well you scored in each area. The training mode involves lots of features for each sport, giving you an opportunity to earn bronze, silver, gold and platinum medals when scoring specific amounts of points. Although Wii Sports is fairly basic, in all fairness the purpose of this game (as-well as Wii Play) was to show the capabilities of the Wii Remote. In Tennis, you have doubles matches, you can either play as yourself or partner with a CPU or 2nd player. There are singles rounds, best of 3 or best of 5. Tennis is a great game and is fun when you have 2 or more players. One thing to point out is you can watch CPU vs CPU matches when omitting your Mii in the select screen + the amount of audience members increases as you advance levels.
