"Re Mana" shares some timeless memories of the journey Rajasthan Kabir Yatra, a rambunctious, melodic and feisty travelling folk music festival of bhakti, Sufi and Baul poetry en route between Jaipur, Sikar, Dundlod, Fatehpur, Ramgarh Shekhawati, Phalodi and Jaisalmer in October 2019. Spanning 8 astonishing locations, 50 diversely talented master artists, and over 500 wanderers, KABIR YATRA weaves an intricate thread of diverse traditions into one delicate multi-sensory fragrant garland. Beautifully tied to mystical musings this yatra discovers a new world of music that is structured on the universal language of Kabir. This ideology complements artistic identities that incorporate a myriad of diverse and intellectual influences. This orchestral celebration of Kabir's world signifies his eternal teachings that guide us to a realisation to be more humane and to celebrate the differences we see around us. This thought process highlights better equilibrium, that is achieved when civilian cooperation is combined with the dedication of our police forces. Organised by Lokayan, Bikaner and partnered with Rajasthan Police, this is a folk festival providing a space where folk musicians, artists, scholars, students and seekers can immerse themselves in the voices of Bhakti and Sufi saint-poets such as Kabir, Mira, Bulleh Shah, and many more, questioning and dissolving boundaries of caste, class, religion and identity. The five editions, in 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 were widely chronicled and appreciated.
