Police at blast scene STORYLINE: Six policemen were killed by a roadside bomb in eastern Afghanistan on Monday, according to a local official. A wrecked vehicle was visible at the scene of the blast in Jaghatu district, which was being guarded by police. Ghazni province Police Chief General Zirawer Zahid said the officers were on patrol on Monday morning when their vehicle struck a bomb planted in the road. He said all six policemen inside the vehicle were killed in the explosion. Jaghatu district lies about 6 miles (10 kilometres) west of the provincial capital, Ghazni city. Also on Monday, an alleged Taliban sleeper agent opened fire inside the Defence Ministry in Kabul, killing at least two soldiers before he was gunned down in the third deadly breach of security in the country in less than a week.
