SAME Student Members are invited to view this webinar titled: What to Expect After Graduation, presented by the College Outreach Committee and the new SAME Virtual Student Chapter, a boundaryless student community that provides the opportunity for virtual engagement in professional development opportunities that foster engineering leadership for our nation. The webinar was conducted by representatives of the College Outreach Committee. Whether you are graduating this year, or still have a few years to contemplate your next step, this webinar will get you thinking about what lies ahead. During the webinar, we will also provide you with more background on the Virtual Student Chapter and how to join. Presenter: Ben Matthews has been an SAME member for 15 years and is one five members to earn the Fellow designation while still a Young Member. He is a distinguished graduate from the Air Force Academy and earned a Masters in Construction Management at the University of Texas. He is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in Ohio and Texas. While in the Air Force, Ben served on the SAME Young Member Council as Secretary. After transitioning, to the private sector in 2007, Ben served as National College Outreach Committee Chair. For his College Outreach and YM Council efforts, Ben earned the President’s Medal in 2010. At the local level, Ben was elected as the 2014 Dallas Post President and led the Post to Distinguished Post status. Ben is a leader in the private sector as well serving as a Federal Client Manager for Jacobs Engineering with clients across the world.
