2019 Genesis G80 3.3T Sport AWD - Build & Price Review: Interior, Engine, Features, Colors

The 2019 Genesis G80 is a five-passenger midsize luxury sedan available in three spec levels: 3.8, 3.3T Sport and 5.0. The number correlates to the size of motor underhood. To get a base model spec level, the G80 3.8 is anything but basic, with plenty of standard features that equal or surpass most in its class. The G80 5.0 adds bigger wheels and tires and small spec enhancements and especially more capability from a V8 engine. The G80 3.3T Sport is much more oriented to performance driving with its turbo V6 engine and dynamic suspension. The G80 3.8 gets a 3.8-liter V6 engine (311 horsepower, 293 pound-feet), an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is optional. The recent G80 3.3T Sport gains a turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 engine (365 hp and 376 lb-ft), 19-inch wheels and tires and adaptive suspension. The G80 5.0 Ultimate employs a 5.0-liter V8 engine (420 hp, 383 lb-ft). In its base model spec, the Genesis G80 feels like a proper luxury sedan. There are loads of premium features, which you may also option up with the Sport or Ultimate packages. But I'd go for the 3.3T Sport instead. It is basically a 3.8 with both alternative packages and an updated motor, an adaptive suspension and nicer wheels and tires. It costs more than a fully loaded 3.8, but I think the extra performance is well worth it.
